Team member Stefano Biasini is a founding partner of the award winning and landmark Gran Caffe L’Aquila in Philadelphia. Chef Biasini was also the founder of the original Gran Caffe L’Aquila which was destoyed in the Earthquake of 2009. Chef Biasini is the 2013 Italian Gelato Champion winning the Gelato D’oro in Rimini.
The Following Year (2014) as captain of the Italian Gelato World Cup team he won the International Press Award as well as a special award for best Gastronomic Gelato. After the opening
of the Philadelphia Location in 2015 Chef Biasini’s Gelato was Awarded “Best Of Philly” after just 6 months.
In 2016 Gran Caffe L’Aquila Philadelphia was awarded the Philadelphia Conceirge Association Best Restaurant in Philadelphia. In 2017 the Italian American Business Council awarded Gran Caffe L’Aquila the International Business Award of the year. Chef Biasini’s sweet and savory gelatos have been covered by media both nationally and internationally.
